Tour #1. San Jose City Tour


San Jose City Tour, museums, historical sites, Sabana Park, National Theater.San Jose City Tour.

1/2 day tour - 4.5 hours. This tour immerses you into the rich Costa Rican culture and history by experiencing the beautiful museums and historical sites of San José. It begins with an orientation and drive through the beautiful Sabana Park, then a short walking tour through the historic National Theater area (the theater is a masterpiece in art and architecture). Afterwards you will enjoy a visit to the Gold Museum, one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica. Your tour will continue to the University of Costa Rica, the Supreme Court building, various other sites of interest, and a brief stop at one of our beautiful arts & craft shopping stores for souvenirs. Tour #2. Poas Combo Tour


Poás Volcano National Park / Doka Coffee Tour / La Paz Waterfall Garden.

Full day tour - 10 hours. The Poas combo Tour is our most popular tour. In one day you will see several of the wonderful areas for which Costa Rica is famous. This tour is actually 3 tours in one. On the way to Poas Volcano, you will see magnificent coffee plantations, fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way. Your first stop will be the Doka Coffee plantation where you will have a delicious breakfast and tour. This is an actual working coffee plantation producing some of the best coffee in Costa Rica. You will continue to the Poás Volcano National Park where you actually visit the summit of the Poás Volcano and peer down into the impressive main crater. Your visit will continue to the famous La Paz Water Fall Gardens for a scrumptious lunch and incredible tour. You will stroll through trails that lead to a spectacular waterfall in the middle of the rainforest. You will enjoy the hummingbird gardens inside the park, the reptile world area, the bird house, the butterfly garden, the frog exhibit and many other beautiful areas. Tour #3. Irazu Combo Tour


Irazu Volcano / Orosi Valley / Lankester Garden.

Full day tour - 10 hours. This tour is the combination of the Irazu Volcano National Park and the Orosi Lankester Garden tours, offering a visit to the magnificent Irazu Volcano, as well as to the scenic towns in the Orosi Valley with their enchanting lush gardens and scenic views. The tour begins heading south along the Pan American Highway until reaching the base of the behemoth “Iztaru” (a name of an indigenous village that was situated on the flanks of the volcano). Following a winding road, you will traverse fertile lands in which all types and forms of vegetation are cultivated, all the while enjoying a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys. You will see Costa Rica's full splendor including a magnificent view from the very top of a summit, where on a clear day you can actually see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Descending to the beautiful city of Cartago, you will stop at the Virgin of the Angels Basilica - a very famous site to which believers travel for days or even weeks completely on foot as a pilgrimage of faith. The Basilica has large vaulted ceilings and exquisite examples of stained glass windows. Continuing, you will stop at the gorgeous Lankester Gardens, which, as part of the University of Costa Rica, is a center that protects more than 800 species of orchids, bromeliads and countless species of other plants. Tour #4. Poas 4-Tour Combo


Poás Volcano National Park / Doka Coffee Tour / Grecia /Sarchi

Full day tour - 8 hours. This is a 4 tour combo and includes a tour of the fabulous Poas Volcano National Park, the Doka Coffee Plantation, the town of Grecia, and to the heart of Sarchi to visit artisans workshops. The tour begins on Pan-American Highway going towards the city of Alajuela. En route you will see the Agriculture Monument, Juan Santamaria memorial monument and the popular Mango Park. Near Poas Volcano National Park, you will stop briefly to learn a little about our famous golden bean, which is a term used to describe the unique and savory coffee of Costa Rica. This is part of the heritage and tradition that makes Costa Rica coffee famous. Continuing along scenic vistas and through fern, flower and strawberry farms, you will begin to notice a change in temperature and vegetation and experience the cool and exuberant cloud forest of Poas Volcano National Park. At the Poas Volcano, you will travel to the very summit and peer down into the impressive main crater with its trailing fumaroles, then stroll along a trail traversing the beautiful Botos Lagoon where you will learn about the different ecosystems. Following your volcano visit, you will enjoy a scrumptious lunch at Doka Estate. The third stop is the town of Grecia, considered one of the cleanest towns in Latin America. Grecia is home to one of the only Metal Churches in Central America. The church is a national monument that fills its inhabitants with pride. You will also visit Grecia's unique central market area. The fourth and last stop is the beautiful town of Sarchi, known as the cradle of Costa Rican artisans. Irazú Volcano National Park

1/2 day tour – 6 hours. The Irazu Volcano (Volcán Irazú) is situated in the Cordillera Central just a few kilometers from Cartago, and it is a relatively short and pleasant drive from the Capital city of San José. The trip begins by ascending the breathtaking summit of the Irazú Volcano, passing all types and forms of vegetation, from coffee plantations, to ferns, depending on the elevation. The trip leads up to a spectacular view of the massive crater which is home to a lagoon with a mystical green hue surrounded by jagged rocks. It should be mentioned, that on a clear day you can actually see both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans! After an exciting tour of the volcano, you will descend to the historical city of Cartago. You will stop at the Virgin of the Angels Basilica – a famous peregrination site for many believers, some of which travel for days or even weeks on foot, in a pilgrimage of faith, to the site. Full day tour – 10 hours. This is a wonderful 3 tours in 1 combo. First, you enjoy a scenic drive through the Sarapiquí area, viewing an extraordinary rain forest nestled in the Braulio Carrillo National Park. This area is one of the most important rainforest reserves of Costa Rica. On arrival at Sarapiqui, you will board a boat for an amazing and relaxing ride on the Sarapiqui River where you will feel in close contact with nature and admire the inspiring surroundings. Following the boat ride, you will enjoy a stroll along the Selva Verde Ecolodge’s private trails which are pure heaven for nature enthusiasts, bird and wildlife watchers. Tour #7. Manuel Antonio.


Manuel Antonio National Park.

Full day tour – 12 hours. Manuel Antonio National Park is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Costa Rica. On this tour, you will visit pristine beaches, with coral reefs, bordered by exuberant vegetation and the natural wonders of the tropical rainforest. The beaches in Manuel Antonio are highly coveted as some of the best that Costa Rica has to offer. Many popular activities such as world-class surfing and snorkeling are available. On the way to Manuel Antonio National Park, you will travel along the coastline enjoying scenic views, including African palm plantations. You will also travel past small villages along the Pacific Coast, until you reach the port of Quepos and ultimately, the National Park. Since access to the park itself is closed to vehicles, you will hike to the preserve, crossing a creek. Once in the park, you can simply relax and enjoy the beach, sunbathe, or hike through the park’s trails, which will allow you to observe Manuel Antonio’s abundant flora and fauna. Several species of monkeys, iguanas, birds and possibly even the three-toed sloth can be seen.
